We are pleased to announce that Melissa Sharpe-Harrigan will join the Chatham-Kent Ontario Health Team (CKOHT) as its Transformation Executive Lead starting Monday, October 26, 2020. From October 26 to November 16, 2020, Melissa will continue to provide support to her current role in Medical Affairs at CKHA as well as to the e-VOLVE project to ensure the creation of a transition plan.
The Transformation Executive Lead will provide administrative support to the signatory partners of the CKOHT. This role will assist the partners in developing the first CKOHT strategic plan, achieving the Year 1 deliverables and in evaluating and communicating the outcomes of this work.
Melissa comes to this role with a wealth of experience and knowledge in the broader public sector, academics and health care leadership.
Most recently, Melissa has served Chatham-Kent Health Alliance (CKHA) as the Director, Medical Affairs and Medical Recruitment where she has worked with a number of internal and external stakeholders to ensure a strong support for the Chief of Staff and physicians at CKHA and strategic leadership to the portfolio.
Melissa has also held a number of other leadership and project coordination roles at Transform Shared Services Organization, Municipality of Chatham-Kent, Peterborough Partnership Council and Human Resources & Skills Development Canada. She will continue to serve in her role as a Chatham-Kent Municipal Councillor representing the area and residents of West Kent. Melissa also has significant volunteer and community service experience.
Melissa has an Honours BA, MA in Political Science and is in the final states of dissertation for her doctoral thesis.
