Best Practice Spotlight Organization

BPSO OHT partners directly with the Registered Nurses Association of Ontario (RNAO) to implement best practice guidelines (BPG) in order to better respond to health system transformation in Ontario. There are 13 organizations in Chatham-Kent that have partnered to work through the BPSO OHT journey together.

OHTs collaborate to implement four RNAO BPG’s over a four-year period to gain BPSO designation. CKOHT is on track to achieve designation in June 2025. To date, CKOHT has implemented the first two BPG’s and is currently focused on BPG’s number 3 & 4.

  2. Transitions in Care & Services
  3. Preventing Falls and Reducing Injuries from Falls
  4. A Palliative Approach to Care in the Last 12 Months of Life
