CKOHT Officially Part of First Wave of Ontario Health Teams
On December 7, 2019, the Ministry of Health officially announced the Chatham-Kent Ontario Health Team as one of the first OHTs in the province.
This landmark announcement was made by Chatham-Kent–Leamington MPP Rick Nicholls and attended by Minister of Labour, Training and Skills Development Monte McNaughton (also MPP of Lambton-Kent-Middlesex), Walpole Island First Nation Chief Dan Miskokomon and Chatham-Kent Councillor Carmen McGregor.
As part of the announcement, the members of the CKOHT Steering Committee made a donation of canned goods and non-perishable foods to the Salvation Army of Chatham-Kent food banks.
